Pay-It covers most payment options around the globe, i.e. credit cards and digital wallets. This includes the processing of cards for not only major brands (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, American Express) but also other brands (e.g. Discover, JCB, UnionPay, Diners Club).

In-person payment via a reader

Pay-It readers add a connection between the reader device and Business Central allowing you to accept in-person card payments.

Registering a Reader

  1. Search for the Pay-It Accounts page and open the Account Card by selecting the Description.
  2. Open the Pay-It Methods page, this can be found by finding Navigate and selecting Pay-It Methods.
    • Opening the Pay-It Methods page from the Account card will only display certain methods, compared to opening via a Customer.
  3. To add a new method, find New and open Add a Pay-It method. This will open the registration wizard.
  4. Select the Payment Method to use.
    • Only payment methods that have been assigned with the selected Pay-It Account will display in this list.
  5. Follow the required steps for the device:
  6. Once the reader has been successfully paired, the completion step will show a summary of the newly created Reader.
  7. Select Finish to complete the registration. The reader will now be displayed in the list of Pay-It Methods for this account.

Registering a reader with a Stripe device

  1. You will need to locate the reader’s pairing code.
    • For more information about finding the pairing code, please follow the guides of the device type, i.e. Set up BBPOS WisePOS E.
  2. Give the reader a descriptive Name eg. “Register 1”.

Online payments using Saved Cards

Providing your users with the ability to store payment information, creates a simplistic and efficient checkout experience.

Offering your customers, the option to store their payment information for future purchases means they won’t have to keep repeating the time-consuming process of continuously entering their payment details each time.

Saving a card for a customer

  1. Open the Customer List page.
  2. Once you have found the Customer, open the Customer Card and open the Saved Pay-It Method page.
    • This is under the Navigate group.
    • The Saved Pay-It Method for a Customer can also be accessed directly from the Customer List page under the Navigate action group.
  3. Under the New group action and select Add Pay-It Method.
  4. Use the navigate buttons Back and Next to progress through the wizard. Select the Payment Method you wish to use.
  5. Enter the card details, so they can be saved and used for future purposes. This includes the card number, card expiry date, CVC, and postcode. The Next button will be enabled for you to select once you have entered the details.
  6. The card has been successfully saved for the customer. You can then give this particular method a descriptive Name.
  7. Select Finish to complete the wizard. The Saved Card will now be displayed in the list of Pay-It Methods for this customer.
